All wood burning & solid fuel appliances require annual maintenance , if the unit is a new purchase the manufacturer will only honour the warranty if the unit is serviced annually. Our full service not only keeps your appliance safe and looking good, it also prevents unnecessary use of fuel, saving on heating costs. The service includes a standard single or two storey chimney clean, removal of all internal parts of fire/stove – baffle, firebricks, grates, log retainers and ash pans, for cleaning and if there is any noticeable damage, it will be reported to the client*. Once the cleaned internal parts are cleaned and placed back into the unit. The old worn rope seal will be replaced by gluing into place with a thermic seal adhesive, and the door glass cleaned. All moving parts will be oiled, (door catch mechanism and hinge pins). With the exterior refreshed using the manufacturers recommended cleaner. Note. Enamelled stoves will be cleaned, but any damage to the paint finish will have to be professionally painted.
